Astros Rebuilding?

Lance Berkman is a NY Yankee.  It just seems weird to say that.  The Big Puma was traded Saturday along with $4 millon in cash for a AAA relief pitcher, Mark Melancon and a A IF Jimmy Paredes.  So the Astros have traded Roy Oswalt, Lance Berkman, and $15 million for 2 MLB'ers (JA Happ, Brett Wallace) and some long shot prospects.  So I guess that means the Astros are rebuilding?  Not so fast says Drayton McClane.

The contract that the Astros just gave Brett Myers would seem to indicate that they believe they will contend soon.  It's a 2 year $21 million contract which could vest a 3rd season bringing the total value of the contract to $29 million.

A couple of geniuses at the Dynamo game Saturday night decide to run on the field and try to tackle/get a piggy back ride from Thierry Henry.  What a couple of douches...I wish they got tased.

Tyreke Evans of the Sacramento Kings likes to drive as fast as he plays....like 135 MPH fast. Watch his high speed chase and requisite arrest at gunpoint right here:

The Miami Heat sales team sold out the entire arena with season tickets.  Now the Miami Heat sales team is out of work. http://www.miamiherald.com/2010/07/30/1754732/lebron-james-was-great-for-the.html

Incidentally, Tuesday the NBA is trying to pull an NFL and make their schedule release something special.  NBATV will host a 1 hour special that reveals the opening night, Christmas Day, and MLK Day NBA Games.  Taking the Rockets out of the equation, what game would you like to see?  I want Miami @ Cleveland on Christmas Night.
