Strasberg as Good as Advertised!

Stephen Strasburg was THE TRUTH Tuesday night strinking out 14 while walking none in 7 innings of work as he collected his 1st Major League victory 5-2 over the Pirates.  Have you ever seen a better debut in any sport?

Strasberg also did us all a solid by helping the Nats finish the game in 2 hours and 19 minutes.  Coincidentaly that is the same short length of the Kerry Wood 20K game versus the Astros.

Is there anything more pathetic than Baylor and Kansas begging to stay in BCS conferences?

I actually feel bad for Kansas.  They draw pretty well at there stadium and have a half way credible program with an up and coming young coach in Turner Gill.  But Baylor...oh Baylor...wake up and smell the coffee.  You didn't deserve to be in the Big 12 at its inception.  Ann Richards dieing gift to you: a lifetime of losing football seasons but a lucrative bank account is about to come to an end.
