If MLB will allow the expenditure for the bankrupt team (and they've done it before: see Montreal circa Bartolo Colon in the early 2000's) the Rangers have the best farm system in baseball.  Perhaps a package of young arms and taking a chance on the struggling slugger Chris Davis would be worth a shot.
