The Shot heard round the world...or at least in our backyards. Landon Donovan's strike in the 92nd minute gave Team USA a 1-0 win over Algeria and enabled America to win it's group for the 1st time in 60 years.
Even though this was not for the World Cup, it has to go down as one of the truly GREAT moments in American sport. It reminded me a bit of watching Michael Phelps go for the 8 golds in Beijing and almost coming up short only to have his teammate pick him up at the wall.

Meanwhile, on another continent.....American John Isner and France's Nicolas Mahut are in the midst of the longets match in Tennis history. The match will begin it's 3rd day on Thursday with the score tied at 59 games a piece in the 5th and deciding set. The two players have combined for 135 aces in the 5th set.
