Has a team ever had to deal with more crap than our Houston Rockets? From Tracy McGrady's on-again, off-again injured knee, to a late-season gun shot wound to Carl Landry, throw in 2 season ending injuries to their centers, and inconsistent shooting from their remaining offensive weapon Ron Artest, and yet the Rockets are still two wins away from going to The Western Conference Finals. Ultimately the injuries may make advancement impossible, but the team carries itself with a positive attitude, and leaves nothing on the court except their oversized huevos. I had the Rockets in 7 games to start the series, and though the absence of Yao makes that pick a longshot, the Rocket fan in me refuses to back off the selection.

Could NBA game analysts please quit saying the following: "This is why Phil Jackson is so great, his team is getting its ass kicked and he refuses to call a timeout."
What does that mean? Doug Collins and Mark Jackson have said it this series.

I would say..."I love how Phil is collecting the big $$$ but letting Kurt Rambis and Frank Hamblin do all the heavy lifting, while he limps around on what he has left that he calls legs."

The Astros are 7-14 versus the NL Central and 7-3 outside of the division. Unfortunately they still have 50+ games against divisional opponents. It stands to reason that they will need to improve on that figure if they plan to be contenders this season.
