The media business is no different than any other in America.  Bean counters always triumph over content decision makers.  You all may be familiar with the name Matt Sampsell.  He was a sports reporter/anchor for Fox 26 in Houston.  Matt was let go a few years ago despite his outstanding work.  Fox has always had the best local sports coverage on television.  As many people do in this economy, Matt had trouble finding work.  Read through his unbelievable journey, and I imagine it will make you grateful for your own blessings.

The Big 10 football schedule this weekend is as soft as the above picture.
Check out the murderers row of teams that the Big 10 is playing in football this weekend: Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Northern Colorado, Northern Illinois, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Temple, Toledo and Austin Peay. Yes, Austin Peay, an FCS school from Tennessee best known as the home for '70s basketball playground legend James "Fly" Williams, will venture to Wisconsin's Camp Randall Stadium on Saturday.

Melissa Rycroft

This former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader knows how to rock a mini-skirt and boots. She is best known as a reality TV star for her appearances on The Bachelor and making it to the finale of Dancing with the Stars. Last year, she was named to both People Magazine’s list of World’s Most Beautiful People and Maxim’s Hot 100. All I know is when I see her, a list isn’t the only thing that gets longer.

Tiffany Fallon

The former sideline starlet for the Atlanta Falcons was no stranger to doing the Dirty Bird. Fallon was named the Playboy Playmate of the Year in 2005 and certainly knew how to shake her assets. Currently, she is expecting her second child with husband Joe Don Rooney of Rascal Flats. She also appeared in Toby Keith’s video for “Who’s Your Daddy?” I don’t even need a joke here.
 
Stacy Keibler

The WWE starlet got her start under the bright lights on the sidelines of M&T Bank Stadium with the Baltimore Ravens. Known for her sexy, long legs, the former Dancing With the Stars contestant earned the nickname “Weapon of Mass Seduction.” And if that wasn’t enough, she will be releasing a solo album in 2011. I can’t wait to get a good look at her golden pipes.

This spicy momma used to shake it for the St. Louis Rams before becoming a correspondent on Inside Edition and getting a brief gig as a sideline reporter on Monday Night Football. She has a diverse acting and television career, is one of the best known Hispanic females in media and is married to former Orioles pitcher Scott Erikson. Something about bad pitchers that attracts hotties. Probably the money.


 
Teri Hatcher

The former 49ers cheerleader couldn’t have put it any better herself when she guest-starred on Seinfeld: “they’re real…and they’re spectacular!” Everything about the greatest Lois Lane ever has been spectacular, including a reoccurring role on MacGyver and award-winning performances on Desperate Housewives. I think I need to move to Wisteria Lane.
 
Charisma Carpenter

The San Diego girl got her start with the Bolts when she used to fire up the crowds at Chargers games. Carpenter is known for her roles on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel as the super-sexy Cordelia Chase. Others might know her as Jason Statham’s girlfriend in The Expendables. However, there is no replacement for the former Playmate.

This beauty used to cheer on America’s Team when she wore the white boots with the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders. The multicultural diva speaks English, Persian and Spanish and is best known for her role as Carmen de la Pica Morales on The L Word. All I know is she makes me think a lot about the F word.
 
 

Brandy Blair
 

Some say her real name is Brianna, but it’s hard to find the true identity of adult film stars these days. The diverse actress – she’s a switch hitter, if you know what I mean – was originally a performer for the Atlanta Hawk’s A-Town Dancers. By my unofficial count this morning, she has been in around 50 different adult films. I guess she is pretty good with her hips.
